Today we lost a true idol and icon. Ms. Whitney Houston was found dead today in her hotel room. As of now her death is unknown. Her death was estimated to be at approximately 3:55pm. She was said to be staying there in preparation for the grammy awards held this weekend. It is a shock to her community of fans as well as the world. Though Whitney Houston was known to suffer with drug abuse, her death was still very untimely. Ms. Houston was only forty-eight years old. She was said by some to be the best female vocalist of all time. She has been gracing stages with the gift of her voice since the tender age of nineteen. Ms. Houston had one of those voices that just made you sit in awe. Certainly I have never heard a voice quite like hers. It is my opinion that it was not Ms. Houston's ability to sing beautifully that made her special. It was simply her ability to do it with ease. Have you ever seen any arist with that level of voice do it so easily? She knew what to do at just the right time. She really did set the bar high. For example, no one has ever sang the national anthem quite as well as she. This song has been sang by many great voices, but not as easliy or as beautifully. There have been many imitators, but no duplicators. She will surely be missed. This tragedy comes after years of suffering with drug abuse as a result of stress. She leaves to mourn, the father of her daughter, Bobby Brown, her family and many many heart broken fans. Ms. Houston, we will always love you.
